This is to document my love of and obsession with fabric and quilts! The true, guilty story of buying "just a little bit more", of shopping at thrift stores for the extra large mens shirts to use in your next quilt..and yes..even eyeing up your best friends blouse wondering if she'd notice if you "borrowed" it and just how many 2 inch strips you could get out of it!

Sunny Saturday Sew in
I am having my own private sew in today. It is a glorious, sunny, chilly day here in western NY, but I am very content to spend it inside. I have a pot of turkey meatball soup started, will get some bread baking in a bit and the day is all mine. Sure, I will throw some laundry in and do some odds and ends around the house, but sewing is the main agenda. I REALLY want to play with my new Go! today, so that is on my list. I also want to get my fall table topper quilted, and pick at least one other UFO to work on. Unfortunately, I have an idea niggling away in my head for a new quilt and I am trying to push that idea wayyyyyyyyy back so I can get some of this other stuff finished! Wish me luck..I will update as the day goes along!

quilting can be a #5 horse. (Nag, Nag, Nag, Nag- NAG!) Ride it while you can. Some of my most fun quilts were ones that weren't even on the TO DO list, they just cut in line and took off.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to see how the GO works for you. Wish I could 'rent' one to see if I would actually use it enough to consider purchasing.

Fall table topper? which one is that. Im working on finishing quilting my 369 quilt. And then sandwich the mystery runner, bind the topper, finish some blocks and the list goes on and on.... txt me...lol
ReplyDeleteIt's a cold, dreary day here. I would love to see a little sunshine. I worked this morning straightening my sewing/craft room. I figure that by the time my daughter comes for a visit in two weeks I'll have it finished. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, care to share that recipe? It sounds great!
